About Dr. Kundra
Priya Kundra, MD, is an endocrinologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. She earned her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University (Medical College of Virginia) in 2002 after a BS in biology from Duke University, completed internal medicine residency at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2005, and completed her endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at Georgetown in 2007. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Her clinical focus includes thyroid cancer, Graves’ disease, hyperthyroidism, subclinical hypothyroidism, and hyperparathyroidism. She is currently involved in research exploring new treatments for thyroid cancer and thyroid disease and sits on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. She speaks English and Hindi.
